for the lady ♥
Then I suppose we have an interesting evening ahead of us, wouldn't you say? I shall wait for you by the castle gates. Try not to bring that Belmont with you. As much as I consider him a... friend, it's only your company I am interested in for the evening.
🖤
[ And just as promised, Cecil is indeed at the castle gates relatively quickly for how isolated the dhampir's home actually is. Traveling alone is something Cecil is rather used to and even in spite of her current inebriation, she isn't afraid that she can't defend herself. Part of that is because the drink emboldens her when it comes to terrible ideas, but the rest is just speaking from experience. She's fought for her life in worse conditions.
Besides, most people don't exactly look forward to approaching her at night. With her strange coloring, she looks more vampiric than human — a fact that Trevor Belmont was quick to point out when they first met — and that generally dissuades even those with the worst intentions. Truth be told, Cecil is neither vampire nor truly human, but only Adrian really knows that. One does not just go around advertising that they're descended from beings not of this planet.
Like her, but for different reasons of course, Alucard stands out among the black backdrop of the night like a white flame in the darkness. Cecil quickens her steps when she sees him and she's already smiling by the time she reaches him. Perhaps she overestimated herself though, because once she starts hurrying, it's a little harder to walk a straight line with the alcohol in her bloodstream and she has to lean against the gate itself to ensure she doesn't go embarrassing herself by tripping over her own feet. ]
Good evening. I hope I did not keep you waiting long.

So when he comes to see her arrive safe and sound, there's a smile at his lips and he reaches out for her with a hand, gently meaning to take her elbow within his palm. ]
A lady such as yourself is never late.
[ Words were soft and silky, he smiles to her with that dazzling smile all vampires seem to have for charm... even dhampirs like himself. ]
Shall we go inside then?
[ And even as he asks, he removes his long military-style jacket and drapes it over her shoulders. The walk is short what with the castle being there and all but, he is not about to be rude or impolite with a guest such as herself. ]

Normally, Cecil accepts his gentlemanly gestures with more finesse and quiet grace, but tonight her inhibitions are lowered enough that she allows herself to actually enjoy them, rather than merely abide them. Adrian's natural charm can be incredibly arresting, especially when he consciously uses it to his advantage, and Cecil can't help but wrap her hand around his elbow tightly while she leans against him just a bit. Perhaps later she'll concern herself with the repercussions of her candidness, both in their exchange over the messages and her sincerity now in how she's blushing pretty openly. ]
Yes. Let's. I think I have had enough of being outdoors already, as beautiful as the night is.

[ The words leave his pale lips as genuinely as they are smooth and a smile curls on his lips as he takes to guiding his lady back toward the castle. In truth, their exchange of messages had been rather surprising for the dhampir and yet to know that his dear Belmont friend had been involved, well, it's nice to see that the lady is not stumbling around in a drunken stupor lest this night would go an entirely different way between them.
The walk to the castle is not one that's normally brisk and instead, takes a little longer than usual as he means to ensure that the lady is able to walk without tripping over her feet. But the moment they step inside, the creaking of the doors invites them into the grand display of curtains and clocks and candlelight flickering in the night. For him, this is nothing new or grand in the likes. But for any who dare to make their way into such a place, they're often left in wonderment at such remarkable place, which often has him smile a little; he's well aware of how he's been taken care of over the years as opposed to many down within the village. ]
Now, would you care for some water or something to eat perhaps? I'm afraid I don't have much in the way of tavern food that you might have been enjoying with Trevor but that's not to say that I am completely without a crumb for the lady.
